We have gotten into December time and season when we only hear Carol’s and Christmas songs and there’s only one group we know and mostly play around here.. they are called Boney M.
It’s always pleasing to see how the streets of lagos and most places in some countries actually vibe to Boney M because of the melody in their voices. For many years even the recent generation still appreciate them.
Surprisingly, this year has been a bit different. The streets of Lagos isn’t playing their Carol’s like they use too probably no one Is feeling the season yet or the sound is too old or maybe I’m jumping into conclusions.
Few years ago while I was growing everyone loved Boney m and the christmas season for me even started before December People were really into Carol’s then. I did use to think Boney m was a new group and with the way people played their songs probably they came out in my time But I made my research and found out that this group started and ended before most of us were born…. Wow.
Honestly speaking I haven’t felt this Christmas season and I feel we not playing carols has got something to do with this especially Boney m. Please let’s start playing their Carol’s.
We all know Boney M has the sweetest songs for Christmas Carol’s but what we dont know is how old they are?.
